Low self-esteem

Low self-esteem is a common symptom of learning and attention problems. Social situations are challenging for those affected as it a strain for them to work out what is being said and contribute to a conversation. This is due to their auditory processing ability as it isn’t automatic so it is very difficult to convert thoughts into words.

An underdeveloped cerebellum affects peoples’ self-esteem because they aren’t able to reach their potential and therefore under achieve academically. They become doubtful that they are capable of success, which creates psychological self-esteem issues and often can lead to a severe lack of confidence.

Research has shown that self-esteem is often the first symptom to significantly improve after starting the programme. Many of those who do the programme experience dramatic improvements in their social skills because they become competent speakers and are able to contribute to conversations.
