Frustration

Frustration affects many people with learning and attention problems. Frustration is often caused by a feeling of incompetence. Very often those people affected become frustrated because they aren’t able to express thoughts clearly and also become aggravated that they are challenged by tasks other people find easy.

The lack of processing capacity caused by an underperforming cerebellum often leads to irrational thoughts. In many cases this causes temper and ‘flare-up’ tantrums because thoughts cannot be put into perspective. For those affected by learning and attention difficulties getting over minor conflicts is very hard because they often take too much to heart.

Improving the cerebellum often helps to alleviate this distressing symptom. The exercises help strengthen the neural pathways in the brain allowing more skills and learning abilities become automatic. This releases capacity in working memory so that those people affected have the ability to rationalise their thoughts, and control their feelings more easily.

The programme increases peoples’ ability to react more appropriately in social situations and also to interpret and understand social cues at the same time as processing what they say. Allowing this skill to develop more readily in young children often means they have the chance to develop and maintain proper friendships for the first time and also to show affection more readily.

For adults, the programme allows for improvement in their social awareness and sensitivity to others feelings, leaving them feeling more confident in contributing to social situations.
